When the “Amen” Feels Far Away 🤍
Is it possible to love God and still have questions? Is it okay to want to follow Him while your heart feels like a desert of "what ifs"?
If you are struggling with unbelief today, I want you to take a deep breath. You are not "failing" at faith. You are wrestling with it. And wrestling requires closeness.
✨ Hope is not a "vibe."
In the world, hope is a wish. "I hope it doesn't rain." "I hope I get the job." But in the Kingdom, Hope is an Anchor (Hebrews 6:19). An anchor doesn't work because the boat feels steady; it works because the anchor is hooked into something much larger and heavier than the boat.
God is not intimidated by your questions. He is not offended by your "I'm not sure." Look at Thomas, he needed to touch the scars to believe. And what did Jesus do? He didn't cast him out. He held out His hands and said, "Touch here."
Unbelief is often just a heart trying to protect itself from being disappointed. But Hope is the daring decision to believe that God is who He says He is, even when the evidence of your current season says otherwise.

I also learned the importance of community in these seasons.
