We need more safe men……

Every now and then I meet a man whose energy stands out to me.

It’s hard to explain unless you’ve felt it before. It’s not loud. It’s not attention-seeking. It’s just… good.

Grounded. Calm. Safe. Kind. Genuine.

My husband has worked closely with Michael for the past couple of years. Because of that, I’ve been around him at work events, and we have gone on a double date with him amd his wife.

But the thing about this kind of energy is… you usually recognize it immediately.

I noticed it the very first time I met him.

Sometimes people don’t even have to say much. You can just feel it. A certain steadiness in who they are. A calm confidence. A kindness that feels genuine and not performative.

That kind of presence is rare, and when I feel it, I pay attention.

I’m also a happily married woman who takes my marriage seriously. I believe in guarding my heart and protecting the life my husband and I have built together.

That means I’m thoughtful about the boundaries I keep with men outside my family.

But guarding my heart doesn’t mean I stop recognizing goodness when I see it.

This photo of us hugging exists because I felt safe. Not the kind of polite, surface-level hug people sometimes give out of obligation.

It was a warm embrace that happened naturally because his presence has always felt steady, respectful, and genuine.

My husband was standing right there smiling, because he knows the difference too. And because he’s secure in himself as a man and as my husband.

This hug wasn’t about attration. It wasn’t about anything inappropriate. It was a moment that had far more meaning than the photographer probably realized.

The truth is, my life experiences have made me very aware of the difference between men who carry themselves with integrity and guys who don’t. I’ve seen both sides of that reality.

So when I encounter a man whose presence feels grounded, respectful, and genuinely kind… I notice right away.

The world needs more men who carry themselves with quiet confidence. More men who make women feel safe. More men whose character speaks louder than their ego.

Good men exist.

I’m grateful to be married to one. I’m proud to have raised two sons who are. And I’m genuinely happy and relieved my daughter married one.

The world could use a lot more good men.

... Read moreFrom personal experience, I’ve found that encountering men who exude a calm and steady energy is truly refreshing in today’s fast-paced world. These men don’t compete for attention or assert dominance; instead, they lead with quiet confidence and genuine kindness. This presence creates a safe space not only for women but for everyone around them. In my own life, observing such men has made me realize how rare — and essential — this grounded energy is. It helps foster trust and respect in both personal and professional relationships. Men who demonstrate integrity consistently act as pillars of stability, encouraging others to open up without fear of judgment or manipulation. What stands out about these “safe men” is their ability to listen deeply and respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. This balanced approach can diffuse tension and build stronger connections. It also challenges harmful stereotypes about masculinity being synonymous with aggression or dominance. I believe promoting this kind of healthy masculinity benefits society as a whole. It helps raise sons and daughters who understand respect, empathy, and boundaries. Over time, the ripple effect of more men showing up with grounded confidence can lead to safer communities and healthier relationships. This perspective has been shaped by many observations—seeing men who embody these values in different settings, from workplaces to social gatherings. Their presence feels like a breath of fresh air, and their impact is often quietly profound. It’s a reminder that good men, those who carry themselves with integrity and kindness, truly do exist—and they are vital for a better future.
