[ENG] Another year, another acquisition exhibition by the OCAC (Office of Contemporary Art and Culture). This exhibition, displaying artworks collected by the public sector, shows the progress in how Thai government understands and supports contemporary art. Aside from its function as a report on how public funding has been spent, it also tells which artists, as well as which kinds of artwork the government has recognized. These artworks are not merely bought; they become part of national heritage, defining Thai contemporary art in this current era.
[TH] อีกปีผ่านไป อีกครั้งกับนิทรรศการ Acquisition (การจัดซื้อ) ของ สศร. (สำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย) นิทรรศการที่จัดแสดงผลงานศิลปะที่ได้รับการสะสมโดยภาครัฐ สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความก้าวหน้าของรัฐบาลไทยด้านความเข้าใจและการสนับสนุนศิลปะร่วมสมัย นอกจากเป็นเหมือนรายงานการใช้งบประมาณแผ่นดินแล้ว นิทรรศการนี้ยังเป็นการบอกอีกว่าศิลปินคนไหนหรือผลงานแบบไหนที่ภาครัฐให้การยอมรับ ผลงานเหล่านี้ไม่เพียงถูกซื้อ แต่ยังกลายมาเป็นสมบัติของชาติที่นิยามความเป็นศิลปะร่วมสมัยในยุคปัจจุบันนี้
