Day 12 of preparing to open my coffee spot as a full time law enforcement officer #fy #miami #viral #lawenforment #coffeeshop
Balancing a demanding full-time career in law enforcement while preparing to launch a coffee shop has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences I've encountered. The Matcha Edit is not just another coffee spot; it's a vision brought to life with the support of a passionate community. Throughout this journey, what truly stood out to me was the incredible encouragement and belief from friends, family, and even strangers who share the same enthusiasm for a calm, inviting space. Our mission goes beyond serving drinks; we aim to create a sanctuary where people can slow down, reset, and edit their energy in the midst of a bustling city like Miami. The process of preparing to open took careful planning, from perfecting our signature matcha blends to curating the atmosphere inside Roots Bookstore and Market where The Matcha Edit is located. Each detail, whether it’s the flavor profiles or the store hours—Tuesday through Saturday, 8am to 4pm—has been thoughtfully designed to fit the lifestyle of our community. Personally, managing the workload of law enforcement duties alongside coordinating the opening events and daily operations taught me valuable lessons about time management and resilience. Sharing this journey has been rewarding because it connects me with others who are also balancing multiple roles or chasing a dream against the odds. If you’re considering opening a business while maintaining another career, my advice is to embrace your passion, stay organized, and rely on your community. The positive energy you create around your mission can become your greatest asset. I’m excited for The Matcha Edit’s official opening and hope it will inspire others to pursue their dreams with courage and dedication.
