Hey everyone! So glad you stopped by! As my first real post, I wanted to dive deeper into something I'm super passionate about: creating Original Characters, especially in beloved universes like Undertale. You know that iconic 'hey there buddy chum pal' greeting? It's just one of the many reasons why Sans is such an incredible character, and he was a huge inspiration for my latest OC! I've been spending ages sketching and refining this guy, and I really tried to capture some of that classic skeleton charm while adding my own twist. When I thought about what makes a good skeleton character in Undertale, I kept coming back to Sans's unique blend of humor, mystery, and incredible 'Bone Powers!' I mean, who doesn't love a character who can manipulate gravity and summon gaster blasters with a snap? My OC, who I'm still debating on a name for (maybe something like 'GANS' or 'Frank' as working titles!), is definitely an 'Undead Monster' like Sans, but I wanted to explore different facets. While we may both be skeletons, I imagined them with a slightly more... dynamic physique. Think 'stretchy bones' that can contort in unexpected ways, making their combat style pretty unique. And those 'glong Eyes' (I was going for glowing or elongated, giving them an almost ethereal, watchful look) really add to their mystique, don't you think? Personality-wise, they share some of Sans's 'Lazy' tendencies – who wants to work when you can crack puns and take naps? But my OC also has a hidden depth, and in certain situations, they can be a bit of a 'Neut Freak,' someone who's unexpectedly intense when pushed, especially if their friends are in danger. I've also toyed with the idea of giving them some 'Slime Powers' alongside their bone magic, maybe as a secondary ability that allows for quick evasions or surprising attacks. Imagine a skeleton monster who can melt into shadows or create sticky traps! It opens up so many possibilities for storytelling and fan art. Crafting an OC isn't just about drawing a cool design; it's about building a character with a backstory, motivations, and unique abilities that fit within the world. I tried to think about how they'd interact with the existing Undertale cast, especially with Sans himself. Would they be rivals, allies, or just two 'buddy chum pals' sharing bad puns at Grillby's?
