Brands receive numerous applications daily, so standing out requires strategic, value-driven hooks. One effective tactic is to tailor your pitch specifically to the brand’s target audience and product niche. For example, instead of just stating follower count, highlight engagement rates or concepts you have ready that align with their marketing goals. Saying something like, "Your product fits perfectly with my audience's interests," or "I have two soft-sell content ideas ready" shows preparation and relevance. Video hooks are equally important. I learned early on that the first 3 seconds must be compelling enough to stop the scroll. Using questions like, "Ever wondered how some people have glowing skin with zero effort?" directly addresses a pain point and encourages curiosity. This kind of opening helps boost watch time and brand interest. Additionally, personalization cannot be overstated. Using a full pitch template is helpful, but customizing each message to the brand’s voice and values increases your chances of being selected.
