Wow, can you believe we've hit 35 weeks pregnant already? It feels like just yesterday I found out! For those wondering, 35 weeks puts you firmly in month 8, almost 9 – just a few more weeks to go until meet-and-greet time! This stage is such a mix of excitement and… well, a lot of new sensations as baby gets ready. Speaking of sensations, let's talk symptoms! I've definitely been feeling the classic 35-week pregnancy symptoms lately. That lower back pain? It's real! I've found a warm bath or a prenatal massage can offer some temporary relief. And round ligament pain seems to pop up with sudden movements – definitely teaching me to slow down! Swelling has also become a daily companion, especially in my feet and ankles. Elevating my legs whenever possible and staying hydrated seems to help a bit. And yes, those random nose bleeds are still making an appearance, which my doctor says is pretty normal due to increased blood volume. Plus, I'm easily winded just walking up a flight of stairs! It's amazing how much effort simple tasks take when your body is working so hard to grow a human. It's wild to think about how much our little ones are developing right now. At 35 weeks, my baby is getting so big! The scan showed amazing progress, and they say baby is already as big as a 6-pack of seltzer – can you imagine carrying that around all day?! Their lungs are nearly fully developed, and they're gaining weight rapidly, putting on those crucial fat layers that will help keep them warm after birth. I also read that they're practicing breathing movements and fine-tuning all their reflexes. It makes every kick and wiggle so much more meaningful, knowing all the amazing work happening inside. With the finish line in sight, I've also been extra mindful of things to avoid at 35 weeks pregnant. My doctor emphasized getting plenty of rest, which is easier said than done, but crucial. I'm trying to avoid heavy lifting and any strenuous activities that might put too much strain on my body. It's also important to avoid raw or undercooked foods, certain soft cheeses, and excessive caffeine – basically, sticking to the safe pregnancy diet. And of course, avoiding stress where possible, though that's always a challenge! I'm also really focusing on avoiding long periods of standing or sitting to help with that swelling. Listening to your body is key at this stage; if something feels off, it's always best to check with your healthcare provider. Keeping an eye on any sudden changes in symptoms or movements is also super important. We're so close to meeting our little ones, so staying safe and healthy is the top priority! Every day feels like a step closer to holding my rainbow baby. This whole pregnancy journey, especially after loss, has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but moments like feeling those strong kicks make it all worth it. Just wanted to share a quick update from my corner of the world. What are your must-have tips for 35 weeks, especially for those aches and pains?
