HOW I LOST OVER 15 POUNDS

As someone who went from a horrible diet, tons of alcohol and late night snacking, low energy, never moving my body & feeling really depressed with myself, I knew a change was needed.

Within four months I lost over 15 pounds, toned up and slimmed down all over & felt the best I have EVER felt!! How did I do it?

1. The most important aspect is your diet. Eating fresh and whole foods, getting your nutrients in and prioritizing macros is vital! Once you get this in check, your energy levels increase, your body transforms and you feel amazing.

2. Drinking more water. Please!!! This was my biggest struggle ever. It is hard to stay on top of it and create a habit out of it, but it changes your entire body. Besides it aiding in suppressing appetite, your skin and hair will glow and you truly feel so much healthier. Right now, my goal is 64 ounces of water daily!

3. Daily walks and pilates. Staying consistent with this has seriously helped me SHRED off the pounds and tone up like no other. I love it most because you can do it ANYWHERE & ANYTIME! There are absolutely no excuses. My favorite videos are all on youtube & I have a different post for all of my favorites😊 I aim for 10,000 steps a day, 30 minutes of walking or outdoor activities & 20-45 minutes of pilates.

4. Intermittent fasting. My GO TO app to track my progress, learn more & find other people who fast is @Litely. It is a total godsend & the link is ij my bio! This is something that is taboo for a lot of people and because everyone is so different, please do research to see if this is right for you! Personally, I started with 16 hours a day, eating from 12-8! As I have become more experienced and enjoyed the process, I fast about 18-20 hours a day with a break day or two a week.

First, let's talk more about making 'eating fresh and whole foods' truly work. It's not just about what you eat, but how you prepare for it. For me, prioritizing protein at every meal was a game-changer. Think grilled chicken, fish like salmon or tuna (just like in that colorful meal bowl!), eggs, or lentils. This wasn't just about macros; it kept me feeling full and satisfied for longer, which naturally reduced the urge to snack unnecessarily. I also found that simple meal prepping on a Sunday – things like chopping veggies, cooking a batch of quinoa, or grilling some lean protein – made healthy eating during busy weekdays almost effortless. This really helped curb those moments of emotional eating that often lead to poor food choices. Staying hydrated is another one that sounds simple but can be tough. My goal of 64 ounces of water daily sometimes felt impossible! What worked for me? Always having a cute pink water bottle with me (it sounds silly, but it's a visual cue!). I'd also set alarms on my phone to remind me to sip throughout the day. Sometimes, if I was craving something sweet or felt a false hunger pang, a big glass of water would completely reset me. The benefits extend beyond just suppressing appetite; my skin really started to glow, and I felt much more energized overall. When it came to movement, those daily walks and low-impact pilates sessions were my non-negotiables. Don't underestimate the power of consistent, gentle movement. For me, it wasn't about high-intensity workouts initially; it was about building a sustainable habit. Walking outdoors not only boosted my mood but also contributed significantly to toning my body and achieving that slimming effect. Finding free YouTube videos for pilates was a lifesaver – I could literally roll out my pink yoga mat and get a great workout in, focusing on core strength and flexibility. It truly became a form of daily activity that I looked forward to. Finally, intermittent fasting. This was a deeper dive for me, and I encourage everyone to research what's right for them. A big part of its success for me was how it helped reduce mindless snacking. Once my body adjusted, I found myself less prone to emotional eating and my cravings became much more manageable. Understanding how fasting helps shift your body into a fat-burning mode was incredibly motivating. During my eating window, I still focused on nutrient-dense meals. It's not a magic bullet, but it teaches you discipline and awareness around your hunger cues. Remember, this journey is personal. There will be days you feel amazing and days you struggle. The key is consistency, patience, and finding what truly works for your body and lifestyle. Celebrate every small win, stay positive, and don't be afraid to adjust your approach along the way!
