Tween/Teens & reading?

For those of you Lemon8ers with teens or tweens filter their reading?

I filter my 15yo’s books, but I’ll stop when she turns 16. After that, it’s more about letting her make decisions on her own, since she’ll be off to college just after & I can’t hold her hand forever. (To be fair, she’s also not interested in romance, Romantasy or dark romance)

but my 14yo sister was reading a spicy 🌶️ book, and my mom wouldn’t let her read it (I agree) - but I’m curious what you guys do?

As a teen I will filter my reading bc I don’t want to be reading anything isn’t appropriate.

I write on wattpad.. there's so much hate for no reason 😒
