Things kids should do before kindergarten

Things your kid should be able to do before kindergarten

not including the pre reading, pre writing, and pre math skills. I have those on another post.

from a former daycare teacher, former elementary teaching assistant, and current stay at home mom.

disclaimer: I know that some disabled kids would not be able to do all of these

•Go potty AND wash their hands with zero or little help

•Dressing themselves, putting on their coats, and putting on shoes

•Sneeze and cough into their elbow pit and wipe their nose with a tissue

•Clean up their own messes

•Use utensils to feed themselves

•Follow 3 step directions

•Tell you their first and last name

•Know what an address is and know at least what street they live on

•Tell you if something happens to them
