Things I'm gonna teach other than core curriculum

Things I plan to teach in homeschool other than core curriculum.

Disclaimer: I know some of these things get taught a little bit in middle school or high school, but I plan on starting younger and doing it a lot more.

Elementary school and up:

•mending/sewing

•cooking

•gardening

•basic first aid

•cleaning effectivly

•Sign language

•swimming

•piano

Highschool (maybe middle school):

•CPR and AED. (I will probably put him in a lifeguard class at 15, but I won't make him get a job)

•car maintenance

•house maintenance

I also plan on putting him in clubs and sports to help teach things:

•Martial Arts for self defense, mental discipline, and physical fitness

•4-H for things like public speaking and making presentations, community, leadership, ect.

4-H is very multifaceted and let's kids do projects in pretty much any field they want.

I think 4-H compliments homeschooling so well.

•He will also, of course, be allowed to choose other extracurriculars if he wants (like theater, other sports, ect..)
