How do you avoid this?
Is anyone else fighting a losing battle with static hair every time they hug their pup this fall/winter? I swear, the second I reach for my dog, zap, we both get shocked. His fur stands up like a grumpy sea urchin. It’s ridiculous!
I just want to snuggle my sweet boy without feeling like we’re conducting a science experiment. We’ve tried petting him with damp hands (he hates it), wearing cotton clothes instead of synthetic, even running a humidifier. But nothing sticks. He’s starting to flinch when I reach for him and my hands are tired of the tiny jolts.
How do you dog parents survive the dry and static-filled months? Do you have a secret hack that actually works or are we all just doomed to shock our fur babies till spring?
