この「ふわりひめ」で使用されている南アルプス天然氷は、ゆっくりと凍らせた純度の高い氷で、一般的な氷とは違い硬さがあり溶けにくいため、かき氷にした際に細かくふわふわな食感を実現しています。私が訪れた時も、その氷の柔らかさに驚きました。実際に食べてみると、天然氷の特徴として「頭がキーンとならない」ことを体感でき、暑い夏の午後でもとても食べやすかったです。 また、練乳は無料で4種類から選べるため、味のカスタマイズも楽しめます。例えば、筆者が選んだチョコ練乳は濃厚かつ甘すぎず、生イチゴの酸味と生クリームが絶妙にマッチし、かき氷というよりまるでパフェのような贅沢なスイーツ感を味わえました。友人が選んだカルピス練乳の生キウイも、爽やかな味わいで夏に最適でした。追いシロップや追い練乳が付いているので、最後まで飽きずに美味しくいただける配慮も素晴らしいです。 店内は老若男女問わず気軽に入れるカジュアルな雰囲気で、ひとりでも入りやすいのが魅力です。混雑時にはかき氷が溶けやすいので、注文後はすぐに食べ始めるように案内されているなど、お店側の細かな気配りを感じました。神戸で希少な天然氷を使ったかき氷を体験したい方は、ぜひ元町商店街の「ふわりひめ」に足を運んでみてください。
