hiiii! i’ve missed you all so much! it’s been a bumpy several months, but i’ve been seeing all the sweet comments and decided i need to come back before lemon8 is gone (for americans) for good💟

soooo, i figured the best thing to post would be my 2025 fashion predictions based on astrology!

on 1/11/25 the north node, which determines the energy that we, collectively, are moving towards, changed from aries into pisces. going from fire to water is a biiiiiiig shift. MANY aspects of our lives will be taking on more pisces energy, but specifically our style, activities, and general aesthetics. the aries north node of last year pretty much embodied the brat phenomenon. the fun, crass, messy, outrageous aesthetics were heavily supported by the bold fire sign.

pisces energy is more whimsical, romantic and soft. pisces is a water sign that is known for being extremely creative, artistic, soft, and loving. pisces also rule over the 12th house, which represents the subconscious mind, dreams, spirituality and illusions. pisces can be known for living in the past. no one gets lost in day-dreams the way a pisces does. fantasy & nostalgia are two of this water sign’s favorite words. mix that with any form of creative self expression and you’ve got the perfect pisces equation.

for fashion, this means elements from the past will be more present than ever. if aries is a trend setter, pisces is holding onto the classics. finding comfort in nostalgia is something that happens frequently when the socio-economic climate reflects the one we’re living in now. so the timing is kind of all around perfect. think about how the pandemic brought back the colorful neons of the 80s as well as fun prints. i think not only will fashion mix with trends of the past, but also with trends from our childhoods. tutus from ballet classes (we’ve already entered ballet flat territory), animal figure sweaters that look like something your grandma made you, colorful tights, and bulky, fun costume jewelry will all be seen in mass.

pisces encourages having fun with self-expression in general. nail art will be more ornate and detailed. bags will be personalized with gaudy charms/ribbons/pins. bright makeup that takes inspiration from the 60s or 70s and tinsel hair reminiscent of the 80s will remind us of times that we tell ourselves we’re better than the ones we’re living in now. essentially embodying a nostalgic day-dream of pisces proportions as a means of escapism.

as for general aesthetics, people tend to go from one extreme to the next. aries (being ruled by mars) can be a very harsh & structured energy. pisces (ruled by neptune & jupiter) is very go-with-the-flow. the boho style from 2013 is already coming back. gentle ruffles & fabrics that move like water will become more popular as the weather warms up. pisces is also the placement where venus (the planet of romance & preferences) is exalted. this makes pisces a verrrrrry romantic sign. think all things shakespeare, tragic romance, titanic type beat. sabrina carpenter has a lot of pisces/cancer placements which makes her incredibly attractive (in both looks & aura) when she wears very feminine and classically romantic styles. i think the hyperfeminine aesthetics from the most recent years will be present, but not in the way we’ve gotten used to. i think it’ll take on a more whimsical “storybook” undertone with mature elements. aka, if you see someone in a floor length, tiered tulle skirt with heeled mary jane’s & a big thrifted fur coat, don’t be surprised.

the aesthetic pisces north node will bring:

1. romance chic (ruffles, tulle dresses, nightgowns, romantic silhouettes, satin, pearls)

2. mermaid core (metallics, ocean motifs, sequin, fishnet)

3. modern boho (flowy maxi skirts, lace everything, poncho/capes, ruffle/pirate tops)

metallics, sequins, satin, beading & embellishments will also be incredibly popular. pisces kind of give grandma chic in a very y2k thrifted way.

basically, it gives authentic and eclectic.

mixing pieces that look passed down or lived in with shinier elements (big jewelry, extra accessories or big sunglasses) will be the vibe everyone will be experimenting with.
