As a fellow parent, I can totally relate to the feeling that no matter how strong you try to be, there’s always that 'last straw' moment when patience runs thin. I’ve found that sometimes, letting kids work through their conflicts—or as described, ‘fight it out till you figure it out’—can teach them valuable lessons about problem-solving and communication. Of course, the key is setting boundaries so it doesn’t escalate dangerously, but giving them space to navigate their emotions can lighten the load on us moms. Humor has been a game-changer for me during these times. Laughing at the chaos not only releases tension but also reminds me that perfection isn’t the goal—connection and growth are. The hashtags like #momhumor and #honestmotherhood perfectly capture that duality of struggle and joy that defines our daily lives. Been there done that many times!!! The only thing I tell them is if you’re going to act like that, go outside and do it because nobody wants to hear that nonsense. And when y’all can act like normal human beings, quietly walk back in here and pick up playing where you left off. No screaming no crying. Thank you. I am definitely praying for you, mama! 🙏🏼🫥🫠

we spend literally our whole lives hitting roadblocks, learning to overcome them, growing as a result, and then hitting more roadblocks 😅 you’ll never be able to avoid them!! you can only do a better job anticipating them 🫶 i think this (what’s in the slides above) is an amazing rule of thumb
