Fresh Grad, No Plan, Feeling Lost
I just finished high school with a pretty decent GPA, but honestly… I have no clue what I want to do with my life yet. College just doesn’t feel like my thing, and my family keeps pushing me to have a “plan.” Some of them even suggested the military, but after getting brushed off at the recruiter’s office, I realized it wasn’t really for me anyway. I’d considered mortuary school, but the pay isn’t realistic unless I owned my own business — which I definitely can’t afford right now. Lately, I’ve been looking into plumbing internships. It actually seems like a great option: hands-on work, decent pay, and job security. I just wish my family would support my choices instead of shutting them down or calling them “man’s jobs.” For now, I’m sticking with my part-time job while exploring opportunities, but it’s frustrating doing it alone. Have any other girls felt this lost after high school, trying to figure out a path without much support?

Don't even get me started on family pressure. Mine keeps asking when I'll get a 'real job,' like this isn't real?!
