DO NOT DO THIS it’s so dangerous. DO NOT DO THIS
A few nights ago I accidentally did this (I took 3/4 meds thinking I took all of them), I couldn’t fall asleep so I did work instead and found the one I missed on my desk. I took it that night and avoided any serious consequences but it reminded me of doing that in highschool and how glad I am to be in a better place.
But I thought this was probably a relatable thing and wanted to share 🤍
Managing medications can be tricky, especially when you have a busy schedule or a lot on your mind. I've been there — once, I thought I had taken all my meds but missed one, only to accidentally take it later at night. Fortunately, I avoided any serious side effects, but it reminded me how easily mistakes can happen. Many people with mental health conditions face similar challenges. Sometimes, we might skip meds when deadlines loom, trying to multitask or push through hypomanic episodes, only to later experience withdrawal symptoms or brain zaps, which can be extremely uncomfortable. This cycle can make it hard to maintain stability and focus. One strategy I've found helpful is setting alarms or using pill organizers labeled by day and time to avoid confusion. If you're prone to forgetting or double-dosing, discussing your routine with a healthcare provider can also help tailor a system that works for you. Staying consistent with medication not only helps prevent unpleasant physical symptoms but also supports overall mental well-being. If you ever miss a dose or take extra by accident, reach out to your doctor immediately and avoid making these mistakes a habit. Remember, you're not alone in this — sharing experiences like these helps break the stigma and encourages safer medication practices for everyone.
