Japan has always been at the top of our travel list (I mean the food? the culture? the vibes? yes please!) — but we’re bumping it to the top because starting in 2026, things are changing 👀

🛍️ Tax-free shopping? No longer so seamless. You’ll have to pay up front and deal with refunds later.

🧳 Shipping goodies home? Nope. Not tax-free anymore after April 2025.

🏨 And Kyoto is upping its hotel tax big time. Like, up to $67 per night 😬

So we’re going now before all that kicks in. Catch us sipping matcha and living our Studio Ghibli dreams before it costs double 😌💸💚
