The focus shifts from quantity to quality in relationships. The goal is not to have a large group of acquaintances but to cultivate meaningful connections with those who are also on a similar spiritual path.

This narrowing of the circle is not necessarily a negative experience. It can be a sign of spiritual maturity and a recognition that not everyone is called to walk the same path or share the same level of dedication.

The smaller circle often consists of individuals who offer genuine support, encouragement, and accountability in one's spiritual journey.

The idea of a smaller, more devoted group is reflected in various biblical stories, such as Jesus's relationship with his apostles, where only a few were chosen to witness key moments.
