Help me Decide

Hi all!

I'm waiting on more yarn for a cardigan fit for a prince I'm currently working on and was hoping for some suggestions on what I should design a cardigan on next? So far I've done:

Sunflower 🌻

Cherry Blossom 🌸

Fox 🦊

Siamese cat 🐈

Bee 🐝

Valentine's Day heart ❤️

Creamsicle🍦

Eevee 🐶

Glaceon ❄️

Leafeon 🌿

Cheshire Cat 🟣 😺

Some of these I haven't posted about yet so stay tuned for them later.

Here's the yarn I'm working with:

From my own experience, starting with simple nature-inspired patterns like Sunflower or Cherry Blossom really helped me refine my techniques and build confidence before diving into more complex designs like the charming Eevee or the mysterious Cheshire Cat. Working with yarn like Caron oops &Threads Loop, which is a 100% acrylic yarn with 200 meters per skein, provides a great balance of durability and softness that suits all-season wearables. It’s important to consider the yarn's texture and color variety when planning your next project, as these factors hugely influence the final look and feel of your cardigan. For instance, the vibrant colors used in the Valentine’s Day heart and Creamsicle designs brought a fresh, playful vibe. If you’re like me and tend to accumulate a stash of yarns, participating in stashbuster projects is an excellent way to use those bits and pieces. It not only prevents waste but also encourages creativity by combining unexpected colors and textures. Sharing your progress with communities under hashtags like #yarnhoard and #helpmechoose can be quite motivating and will connect you with others who appreciate handcrafted knitwear. One tip I’ve learned is to keep a journal of your knitting projects — noting the yarn brand, needle sizes, and pattern adjustments. This makes it easier to replicate a favorite cardigan or tweak a previous design for a better fit or style. Plus, when you decide on your next knit, you’ll have a valuable reference to avoid mistakes and improve your craftsmanship. So while you await your new yarn delivery for the prince-inspired cardigan, why not brainstorm themes that inspire you? Whether it’s an animal motif, a favorite season, or something whimsical, your next creation is bound to be special. Happy knitting!
