This Isn’t Gonna Be The Same TikTok.

TikTok leaving and coming back in a span of 24 hours with the “help” of the 🍊 man is a sign of something sinister happening. The app is now tainted by the American government who can now not only get a piece of TikTok but monitor and censor us on a whim.

TikTok is generally left-leaning; that’s why it’s so popular. Now that our right-wing government AND SUCKERBERG got their hands IN IT…it’s about to have the same fate as Twitter.

It also does not help that they snuck in legislation that any foreign app that has over 1M Americans signing up for it and using it can be banned by our government.

Let this show you our government can dangle our freedoms in our faces at any time. If they can mobilize unanimously to ban an app where everyone can come together (and make money without depending on Meta)…they could’ve easily mobilized to lower rent, raise the minimum wage, enact gun control, and make so many of our lives easier.

Think about that.

... Read moreAs we witness increasing government intervention in social media, TikTok has become a focal point of concern. The recent actions highlight a trend where digital platforms, once seen as spaces for free expression, are being reshaped by political agendas. With legislation threatening apps that exceed 1 million users, TikTok's future is uncertain. This situation raises questions about user autonomy and the potential for digital censorship. Unlike traditional media, social apps like TikTok empower users to voice opinions, share creativity, and build communities without relying solely on major corporations. However, as governmental regulations intensify, they could impose restrictions that impact how users interact on these platforms. Moreover, the shift towards increased control over what is shared or seen raises alarms about freedom of speech in digital spaces. The parallels with past incidents of media control suggest that users may face tougher scrutiny. With TikTok being such a vital tool for self-expression, the implications of possible limitations could have long-lasting effects on diverse voices coming from various backgrounds. Ultimately, users should stay informed about these developments, advocating for their rights to ensure a safe and open digital environment. Engaging in conversations about legislation and actively participating in the discourse around digital freedoms is essential to preserve the benefits these platforms offer for connection and creativity.
