Practice capturing the movement, the "fluff & pull" that creates a voluminous shape. Sometimes, a slight breeze or a fan can bring a style to life. Think about the story the hair is telling – is it sleek and sophisticated, or wild and free? Your photo should communicate that. 2. Building a Powerful Hairstylist Portfolio: Your photos are your best marketing tool. Beyond full-head shots, diversify your portfolio with these ideas: Before & Afters: These are incredibly powerful for showcasing your skill and transformation. Detail Shots: Zoom in on intricate braids, highlights, or the perfect curl definition. These highlight your precision. Lifestyle Shots: Capture your client laughing or looking candid.
