This summer marked a significant life change for me as I made the decision to return to education and pursue my Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) at Ball State University. Education in Social Work opens up numerous avenues to support vulnerable populations, including women and children. At college, I will learn critical skills such as creating case plans, conducting assessments, and advocating for clients in diverse settings, from hospitals to schools. The role of a social worker is multifaceted, often requiring teamwork with other professionals, including lawyers and mental health providers. As I embark on this challenging yet fulfilling educational path, I am driven by the desire to make a positive impact in the community. With the excitement of new beginnings, I hope to inspire others on similar journeys and reflect on how summer experiences can lead to transformative changes in our careers and personal lives. Remember, every step you take toward your goals counts, and I can't wait to share my experiences at Ball State with you all!
