In 2023, I went viral for my weight loss.

For the first time in my life, I felt seen. Celebrated. Like I finally mattered.

But somewhere along the way, I started believing that maybe people only celebrated me because I was in a smaller body.

So I put an unbelievable amount of pressure on myself. To lose as much weight as possible. To get the loose skin surgery. To keep chasing this idea of “almost there.”

And without realizing it… I lost sight of why I started this journey in the first place.

It was never about getting skinny.

It was about living again.

Playing with my kids without being exhausted. Growing in my faith. Feeling confident. Choosing my health. Being present for the life God gave me.

Then life got REALLY hard.

I regained some weight.

And if I’m honest… I convinced myself I wasn’t worthy of sharing anymore. What did I have to offer if I wasn’t the girl losing weight every week?

But here’s what I’ve learned…

I may have regained some weight, but I’ve also gained wisdom. Perspective. Grace. Strength.

This time, my journey looks different.

I’m celebrating every single step instead of waiting until I reach some magic number. I’m wearing the clothes now. I’m not hiding the loose skin or the places I still carry extra weight. I’m showing up exactly as I am.

Because I’m done putting my life on hold until I “deserve” to live it.

I’ve lost over 140 pounds. I’ve regained some. And now I’m building a healthier version of myself again.

Not because I hate my body.

Because I love it enough to keep taking care of it.

I’ve also lost people, walked through heartbreak, and spent far too many years believing my worth was tied to how I looked.

I don’t want to spend another day chasing perfection.

I want to find me.

Maybe for the first time.

So if you’ve been telling yourself…

“I’ll wear that when I lose more weight.”

Wear it now.

Your life doesn’t begin when the scale says a certain number.

It begins the moment you decide you’re already worthy.

Let’s celebrate ourselves for choosing our health, our happiness, and our healing, not because of a number on the scale, but because we are worth fighting for everyday ❤️. #weightloss #transformation #fyp

... Read moreThroughout my own weight loss journey, I've realized how important it is to focus on overall wellness rather than fixate solely on the scale. Like many, I used to believe that losing weight was the key to happiness and acceptance, but that mindset often led to disappointment and self-doubt. What really transformed my experience was shifting my perspective to one of self-love and patience. Celebrating every small victory, such as getting out of breath less quickly or feeling more energetic, helped me stay motivated even when the scale fluctuated. I also embraced the reality of loose skin and body changes as symbols of progress and resilience rather than imperfections. It’s powerful to stop waiting for a “perfect” moment to live fully and instead wear what you want and live authentically now. This approach has brought me closer to body acceptance and inner peace that no number on a scale could provide. Regaining some weight is not failure—it's part of a realistic journey, teaching us wisdom, strength, and compassion for ourselves. Remembering why we started—to live well, enjoy time with loved ones, and nurture our mental and physical health—keeps us aligned with meaningful goals. If you find yourself hesitating to celebrate your body or put life on hold until you reach some ideal weight, take a moment to reflect on your worth. It's inherent and not dependent on size. Choosing health and happiness every day, regardless of the scale, is the most valuable success. This mindset allowed me to break free from perfectionism and focus on building a balanced and joyful life. By sharing these thoughts, I hope to inspire others to embrace their unique journey with kindness and confidence.

Catching you up on my 2023 bc I was gone
2023 was truly a whirlwind of a year and I experienced some of the worst and best times of my life. Bad things: lost my job, live-in caregiver fiasco (all good now), spent a week in the hospital when I was supposed to be on vacation. Good things: I went to London with two of my favorite peopl

All the shows and festivals I hit last year! Music is a HUGE part of my life and I can listen to pretty much anything. Hell you could put some polka music on and I’d be getting down. One thing I love about living near the city is all the show opportunities that I never got living in small town Alas

My biggest complains for this new generation of vehicles is all things electrical. My screen has went out twice under warranty. It doesn’t stay out for longer than a few hours while I’m driving. I turn it off, and back on and it’s fine. Of course, the dealerships diagnoses is “unknown”. My only tho
