How to start working as a UGC creator?!

My number one asked question on this app is how to start as a UC creator and what to do first…

Here are three things that I did to start working working with brands as a UGC creator:

1. I started posting consistently on Instagram in a specific niche. You don’t need to stay in a specific niche as a UGC creator, but I would recommend it at the beginning because it will teach you how to make good content and show you what performs well on social media platforms. This will then help you create better UGC content. I personally chose Instagram as my main platform to focus on, but you can also work on TikTok. (I started in the niche of food content and those are the kind of brands I work most with now as a UGC creator)

2. Follow a bunch of successful UGC creators and study their content. Many creators like this will have courses that you can buy, and although they sometimes do have useful information, I would suggest just taking all of the free information they have posted on their social medias first!

3. Once you have created enough content on your personal page, use it to make a UGC portfolio using the Canva app. (I have posts made about this) also create a pitch template that you can use to send to brands offering your UGC services (also have a post up on this)

Once you have these three things done I would say it’s a great time to start pitching to brands via Instagram, DM or email. I would recommend creating a specific business email to send all of your pitches through! Remember that not every brand is going to get back to you or say yes but if you stay persistent, you should be able to get a couple of deals within your first month (gifted/ paid)
