Beings of Consciousness

My journey into spiritual growth has taught me so much, especially about the profound nature of our consciousness. Like many of you, I've often searched for ways to understand myself and the universe better, and the concept of ‘layers’ or ‘levels’ of consciousness really resonated with me. It’s not about a rigid hierarchy, but more like expanding circles of awareness, each offering a deeper perspective on who we truly are. From what I've learned and experienced, our existence isn't just about this physical body. Our consciousness operates outside this physical dimension, and realizing this can be incredibly liberating. Let me share how I've come to understand these layers, helping to peel back the veil on what it truly means to be a being of consciousness. Layer 1: The Survival Consciousness This is the most basic layer, intensely focused on our immediate physical needs – food, shelter, safety. It's crucial for our existence here, but often, we get stuck here, letting primal fears dictate our lives. I used to worry so much about external threats, but understanding that "WW3 will not 'KILL' you" in the sense of your true self, has helped me move past this fear. Layer 2: The Emotional Consciousness Here, we experience and react to feelings – joy, sadness, anger, fear. This layer is powerful, influencing our perceptions daily. Learning to observe my emotions without letting them control me has been a game-changer. It’s about feeling, but not being overwhelmed, recognizing that emotions are transient. Layer 3: The Mental/Egoic Consciousness This is where our thoughts, beliefs, and sense of individual identity reside. It’s the part that says, “I am this person.” While important for navigating the world, it can also be a source of "mind control" if we let our thoughts define our entire reality. I’ve realized that my mind is not bound to the present moment; it can move forwards and backwards in time, proving it's more expansive than I once thought. Layer 4: The Heart/Soul Consciousness This layer brings us into connection with others and the world through compassion, love, and intuition. It’s where we feel interconnectedness beyond our individual selves. Tapping into this has helped me understand that "you are not the body; you are the one mind," and a part of something much larger. Layer 5: The Astral/Dream Consciousness This is the realm of dreams, intuition, and subtle energies. When we sleep, our consciousness doesn't just switch off; it explores different dimensions. This layer offers glimpses into non-physical realities, showing us that our awareness extends far beyond our waking state. Layer 6: The Cosmic/Universal Consciousness At this layer, we begin to perceive the universe as one giant macro and fractal cycle. We understand that everything is interconnected, and our individual existence is a tiny, yet vital, part of this vast cosmic dance. It’s a profound sense of unity and oneness with all that is, a step towards realizing "you are a higher consciousness." Layer 7: The Divine/Pure Consciousness This is the ultimate layer, often described as pure awareness, source energy, or the divine. It's beyond form, time, and space, encompassing everything and nothing. It’s the realization that "you never ever die," because your true essence is eternal. This layer transcends all others, offering a profound peace and understanding that knowledge is the only thing that you can truly take from this world. Understanding these layers has helped me stop worrying about death and embrace life more fully. It’s a continuous journey of self-discovery, and I hope exploring these ideas helps you too!
