To-Do: Organize my Craft Cart
Spent my Monday off organizing my craft cart. I have been wanting to do this for a while but have been so busy.
My craft cart is from Michael's. I put all my planner stickers, washi tapes, markers, sharpies, pens, paint, paint brushes, and other small miscellaneous things ☺️
It makes me feel so good having my cart organized 🤗

Ever feel like your craft supplies are taking over your space? I totally get it! My craft cart used to be a chaotic mess, but taking the time to organize it was one of the best decisions I've made for my creative flow. It’s not just about tidiness; it’s about making your crafting time more enjoyable and productive! For anyone wondering how to tackle their own rolling craft cart organization, let me share some of my favorite tips and what worked for me, especially with my trusty pink three-tier craft cart. First things first: take everything out! This is your chance to sort, declutter, and rediscover forgotten treasures. I grouped all my planner stickers, washi tapes, markers, pens, paint, and paint brushes into categories. This initial sort is crucial for seeing what you have and where it might best live. Now, let's talk about those tiers! I found it super helpful to assign a purpose to each level. Top Tier: Your Go-To Essentials This is prime real estate for items you reach for constantly. For me, that means my most-used washi tapes! I love having them neatly arranged, some in a cute glass jar and others in a small box—it makes choosing so much easier. My colorful pens and pencils also live here, standing upright in various jars. This not only looks pretty but keeps them from rolling around. And of course, stacks of my favorite sticker books are always within arm’s reach for quick planning or decorating. Having these essentials organized here saves so much time! Middle Tier: Bulkier Items & Specialty Tools This tier is perfect for things you use often but might be a bit larger. I keep a box of paint here, along with a clear container holding extra tape and markers. My collection of bottles of glitter – because who doesn't need glitter? – also found a home here. And for all my beloved sharpies, a handy Snoopy pencil case keeps them secure and easily identifiable. It’s all about finding containers that fit your items and your cart! Bottom Tier: The Hidden Gems & Heavier Supplies The bottom tier is great for heavier items or supplies you might not grab every single day, but still want accessible. My paint brushes are neatly stored in a glass jar here, keeping their bristles protected and making them easy to spot. Tubes of paint are organized in a charming lemon-patterned box, which not only looks lovely but also keeps them from toppling over. This space can also be great for larger paper pads, fabric scraps, or even a small cutting mat. Beyond the tiers, here are a few general craft cart organization ideas I’ve picked up: Go Vertical: Don't forget the sides of your cart! Magnetic containers, hooks, or small caddies can add tons of extra storage for little bits and bobs. Clear Containers are Your Best Friend: Being able to see what’s inside without rummaging is a game-changer. Labels, Labels, Labels: Even if you think you’ll remember where everything is, a quick label makes tidying up so much faster. Think Beyond "Craft": While mine is a dedicated hobby cart, these organization trolley principles apply to office supply cart setups too! Organizing my Michael's craft cart has truly brought me so much joy. It’s amazing how a little bit of order can spark so much creativity. If you’re looking for a weekend project, I highly recommend diving into your craft cart. You’ll thank yourself later when everything is exactly where you need it!
