My recent trip to New York City during the summer was an absolute dream, and I can't wait to share my experiences to help you plan your own unforgettable summer vacation in Manhattan. There's truly nothing like the energy of NYC when the sun is out, and the city comes alive with outdoor activities and vibrant street scenes. One of the absolute must-dos for anyone visiting New York during the summer is spending time in Central Park. I spent an entire afternoon just wandering around, picnicking on the Great Lawn, and people-watching. It's an incredible green oasis where you can escape the city bustle, enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the lake, or even catch a free concert. If you're looking for a peaceful moment, find a quiet spot and just soak in the atmosphere. The park truly feels magical in the sunshine! Exploring the distinct neighborhoods of Manhattan is another highlight. I loved getting lost in the charming streets of Greenwich Village, where every corner seemed to have a story. The cafes are perfect for a coffee break, and the unique boutiques offer fantastic finds. Nearby, SoHo and Nolita offer a more upscale shopping experience with beautiful architecture, while Tribeca boasts a sophisticated vibe, especially near the waterfront – perfect for an evening stroll as the sun sets over the Hudson. For those iconic sights, Midtown is always a spectacle. While it can be busy, seeing Times Square lit up at night or gazing up at the Empire State Building is an essential part of the New York experience. However, I also enjoyed the more residential feel of the Upper East Side (UES) and Upper West Side (UWS). The UWS, in particular, with its proximity to Central Park and charming brownstones, felt incredibly welcoming and offered a glimpse into local life. Don't forget to visit Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, where street performers, chess players, and students create an amazing, lively scene – it's perfect for just sitting on a bench and soaking it all in. To make your summer in New York even better, remember to stay hydrated and take advantage of the city's incredible public transportation. The subway is your best friend for zipping between neighborhoods. I also found that starting my days early helped beat some of the midday heat and crowds, leaving afternoons free for museum visits or cooling off in air-conditioned shops. Many restaurants also offer outdoor seating, which is a fantastic way to enjoy the warm evenings. From grabbing street food to dining at rooftop bars with breathtaking views, the culinary adventure in New York during the summer is endless. This city truly shines in the summer, offering an unparalleled experience for any traveler on a New York vacation.

Beautiful!!!
