This piece is called Cerberus.
I made it the day it hit me like a fucking brick: human toxicity never looks in the mirror. It always points the finger. Always. “It’s them. It’s the world. It’s what they did to me.” Never “I chose this. I kept choosing it.”
Apologizing ain’t hard. The words are cheap. But the ego treats an apology like a bullet to the chest. It would rather rot than kneel. It would rather keep the poison circulating than spit it out.
And God? He doesn’t play with that shit.
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
— Proverbs 16:18
He takes the hands of the ones who steal — steal peace, steal accountability, steal the truth from their own mouths — and He takes the legs of the ones who keep running from the mirror. You can sprint all you want, but you can’t outrun the judgment that already owns you.
“For the wages of sin is death…”
— Romans 6:23
Cerberus stands at the gate for a reason. Three heads. Three excuses. Three ways to keep blaming everybody but the man in the glass. Keep feeding that dog your pride and it will never let you leave the dark.
Own it or get eaten by it.
That’s the whole fucking point.
