KNOW THE DIFFERENCE ...
"PURSUE HIM NOT IT"
# HIS LOVE 💝
In my personal journey of faith, I've realized how easy it can be to focus more on the blessings and gifts we receive, like the anointing, rather than nurturing the deeper relationship we have with God—the covenant. The anointing is often seen as a powerful gift, a divine enablement to do great works, but it’s crucial to remember that this is only part of the story. A covenant is about a lifelong relationship; it's the foundation of trust and commitment between us and God. Unlike the anointing, which can be viewed as a temporary empowerment, the covenant invites us into a continuous, transformative connection. I’ve found that when I prioritize this relationship—by spending time in prayer, reflecting on scripture, and seeking God’s presence—my spiritual life becomes more grounded and meaningful. This distinction also affects how we respond to challenges and successes. When we rely solely on the anointing, there’s a danger of becoming dependent on external signs of approval or power, which can fluctuate. However, rooting ourselves in the covenant provides stability and assurance, even during dry or difficult seasons. It's a reminder that spiritual gifts, while important, are gifts from God, but what truly sustains us is the personal relationship we cultivate with Him. Embracing this truth changes how we approach our walk of faith, making it less about what we can receive and more about who we are becoming. This perspective not only enriches our spiritual experience but also fosters a deeper love and commitment. In essence, pursuing the covenant relationship over merely chasing the anointing ensures that our faith journey remains authentic and fulfilling.
