New Mercedes Battery Technology

This is the new MMA #Battery 🪫 Pack that will equip the coming Mercedes CLA 🇩🇪

I was lucky to be able to see its details as well as its #Electric Drive Unit ⚡️ that uses 2-gears ⚙️

It is important for me to be able to study Battery Pack 📦 Architecture by myself. Often what you read on the internet is, at the best, Blabla 💬 if you are lucky if not BS 🫣

The Pack is a CTP with Module-separation so not totally equivalent in terms of packaging to a Zeekr or a BYD 🇨🇳

The cooling keeps a traditional underneath cooling plate 💧 onto which the Prismatic Cells are glued

The Pack can be equipped with NMC OR LFP Cells ⚛️

Mercedes seems very stressed about the safety because the Fire Protection 🔥❌ combines multiple options
