My Acne Journey: From "Acne Face" to Healthy Skin, Finally Seeing a Change!

Acne felt like barnacles on a whale—no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t shake them off! Every time I looked in the mirror and saw those red, swollen pimples, I felt incredibly frustrated. They seemed like ticking time bombs, ready to explode at any moment 💣. The worst part was that not only were the pimples hard to get rid of, but makeup couldn’t hide them either. Even with foundation, the raised pimples were still visible, making my face look uneven and affecting my overall appearance.

During that time, I often felt like "acne face" was a constant burden I would never be able to escape. Although I'm someone who loves life, acne took away all my confidence. Sometimes, I didn’t even want to smile in public, because each time I looked in the mirror, I'd sigh deeply 😔.

However, everything started to change when I decided to visit a dermatologist!

Starting in May, I followed the dermatologist's advice, adjusted my skincare routine, and changed some of my daily habits. Every photo tells the story of my battle with acne—from the initial breakouts to gradual improvements. Each photo represents my persistence and effort 💪. Every time I wanted to give up, I thought about the frustration and lack of confidence I once felt, which only strengthened my resolve to change. Those pimples that once made me feel so down became the driving force that kept me going ✨.

My Acne-Fighting Methods:

🍀 Eat a Light, Healthy Diet, Avoid Spicy or Irritating Foods

I used to love spicy and greasy foods, but this only worsened my acne. Now, I eat more vegetables and fruits and cut back on spicy foods and fried snacks. The results have been really noticeable! I found that a light, healthy diet plays a significant role in improving my skin.

🍀 Don’t Pick Pimples, Keep Up with Skincare

I used to struggle with the urge to pick at my pimples, which made my skin even worse and left me with more acne scars. Now, I've learned not to touch my pimples and to keep my skin clean and properly cared for. I use a gentle cleanser in the morning and evening and follow up with the acne gel recommended by my dermatologist. Over time, my acne has gradually been brought under control.

🍀 Stay Hydrated and Get Enough Rest

I've started paying more attention to drinking water and getting enough rest. I make sure to drink at least 8 cups of water every day, which helps keep my skin hydrated. Getting plenty of sleep has also reduced inflammation and stress on my skin. Now, my skin condition has significantly improved.

🍀 Choose the Right Skincare Products

Following my doctor's advice, I started using gentle, acne-targeted skincare products. For me, a simple yet effective skincare routine works best. I’ve made sure to use my products consistently, without rushing for quick results, and I’ve gradually started to see improvements.
