Things moms don’t talk about enough
Motherhood is beautiful, messy, overwhelming, and incredible all at the same time.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re just figuring it out as you go… you’re not alone ❤️
Motherhood often appears flawless through social media and everyday interactions, but many of us know the truth is far from perfect. From personal experience, feeling "touched out"—or simply craving a moment alone—is something I've come to understand is completely normal and doesn't diminish the deep love I have for my child. There's an unspoken pressure to have it all together all the time, but honestly some days are just about making it to bedtime. One aspect that surprised me was the mental load; the ongoing tasks like managing appointments, planning meals, keeping track of diapers and snacks, and the never-ending laundry cycle can be utterly exhausting. This constant mental juggling often goes unnoticed but greatly affects our emotional wellbeing. It’s comforting to realize that many moms share these feelings of doubt and overwhelm. Wanting personal time or questioning if you're doing enough doesn’t mean you’re failing; it means you’re human. Sharing these experiences openly helps to create a supportive community where we can learn from one another and feel less isolated. Remember, motherhood is as much about embracing the messy, exhausting moments as it is about cherishing the beautiful ones. Accepting that it’s okay not to have all the answers and that you’re doing your best is key to navigating this incredible journey with more grace and self-compassion.
