Replying to @💜alisiapa💜 FOR ME I’ve lost 150 pounds, but I really haven’t done anything differently. It just kind of happened once i gave up fighting.

The main thing that helped me be successful with my weight loss is not beating myself up. When I was thin, I ate what I wanted, and I stopped when I was full and I’ve applied those principles now to my weight loss.

Also, I’ve been a dancer all my life and my mom, who is also the doctor who helped me, said that really saved me.

I lost 100 pounds on my own and I’m taking Ozempic now for the rest and I’m not able to eat like this all the time anymore, but I still allow it.

One of the key takeaways from this journey is the importance of self-kindness. Rather than harshly criticizing yourself for past habits or setbacks, embracing compassion allows you to focus on sustainable lifestyle changes. Incorporating mindful eating practices—such as eating only until you feel full and enjoying what you eat without guilt—can greatly contribute to weight loss success. This approach helps avoid the cycle of overeating and restriction, fostering a healthier relationship with food. Physical activity also plays an essential role. In this case, being a lifelong dancer not only provided consistent movement but also made exercise enjoyable and fulfilling. This suggests that finding a form of physical activity you genuinely love can boost motivation and adherence. Furthermore, for some individuals, medications like Ozempic can support weight loss efforts by reducing appetite and improving blood sugar control. However, it’s important to use such medications under medical supervision and as part of a comprehensive weight management plan. Ultimately, sustainable weight loss involves trusting your body’s signals, nurturing your mental health, and embracing a balanced lifestyle rather than following restrictive diets or extreme measures. This authentic approach may help many others struggling with weight challenges find their own path to health and happiness.
