“my name’s Melody Bittersweet, and I see dead people”

tropes:

✨ love triangle

✨ paranormal romance

✨ mystery

✨ slow burn

my thoughts:

a book that is cosy , spooky and heartwarming? SIGN ME UP!!

This is the first book I have read by Josie Silver and it exceeded my expectations and I can definitely say that I’ll be reading more of her books in the future! (especially Kooky Spooky Love)

i particularly enjoyed melody as a character because I felt as though we shared a lot of similarities - she was relatable, fun yet can be vulnerable too and she spends a lot time around those who make her feel comfortable.

I also like it when a book includes other elements such as mystery because I think it adds so much depth to the characters and story - in this case, the mystery involving the three ghost brothers was a great way to explore melody’s own role in her business and paranormal powers.

overall this was a great fast-paced book with lots of humour and a wonderful cast of characters that i highly recommend reading if you’re looking for a modern adaptation of Casper , scooby doo and ghostbusters!!

my rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
