If you receive anything from me right now, let it be this: DO NOT FEAR. Fear is an illusion. Do not feed it. Do not let fear shape your reality.
Ground yourself. Go outside. Stand in nature. Breathe fresh air. Touch the grass. Take slow, deep breaths, and for a moment let your only focus be the sound of your breathing. In and out. Maybe listen to a bird singing as you do it. In that moment, are your fears manifested? No. In that present moment they are not. They are a shadow that tries to haunt you with two words “what if”.
A wave is coming, and it is up to you whether you let it devour you or teach you how to rise. I vote you RISE.
DO NOT FEAR. Fear is not real. Ground yourself in the Earth. Stop listening to fear mongering trash. Go inward with your breath. DO NOT FEAR.
Fear often feels overwhelming, but in my experience, it’s a temporary state that can be softened by reconnecting with the present moment. When I first faced intense anxiety, I found that simply stepping outside—feeling the grass beneath my feet and listening to natural sounds—helped me shift my focus from what could go wrong to what is actually happening. Taking slow, intentional breaths is a powerful tool. I like to inhale deeply while counting to four, hold for a moment, then exhale slowly to the count of six. This approach calms the nervous system and breaks the cycle of panic fueled by “what if” scenarios. When fear tries to creep in, this breathing technique has been my anchor, bringing me back to a sense of control. Grounding techniques also include tactile experiences—touching a tree bark, feeling stones, or simply sitting on the earth. These physical connections remind me that fear is often a shadow of the mind, not a true reflection of reality. Whenever fear arises, I remind myself to not feed it. Fear thrives on attention and magnifies when I dwell on it. Instead, focusing on breath and environment lets me rise above it, transforming anxiety into clarity. If ever you find fear taking hold, try these steps: pause, breathe, step outside, touch nature, and listen to your breath and surroundings. In those moments, fear loses its power, proving it is indeed an illusion we can choose not to believe.
