Day one on Vyvanse

Day one on Vyvanse for binge eating!

I am personally taking vyvanse to help with binge eating that l've been struggling with for over a year and a half so I wanted to share what l've noticed:

1. An hour after taking it I started to feel a slight buzz come on but it passed within the next hour. It almost reminded of a slight alcohol buzz.

2. It took away my appetite. I didn't really eat much also partially because I had to take a laxative because I was backed up & but taking laxatives always messes up my hunger for a day.

3. I felt super alert and productive throughout the day. I found myself finishing tasks instead of getting side tracked which was nice. My brain didn't feel like it was going 100 mph.

4. Overall I just felt like I had energy to do things and didn't have to mentally prepare myself to do what I needed.

5. Day ones sleep was not good, I was wide awake. I slept 4 hours but if you've seen any of my recent videos, you know that my sleep schedule has kind of been messed up lately, alternating between 11 hour days and five hour days. I probably could've stayed up till sunrise but around

3 AM I put my phone down and closed my eyes and honestly, I had no issue falling asleep. It just took me actually putting my phone down and trying to sleep, versus my body telling me it was time to go to bed.

... Read moreAfter my intense first day on Vyvanse for binge eating, where I noticed a significant shift in my appetite and felt incredibly alert and *focused*—even with my hearts racing a little initially—I’ve been reflecting on what this means for the longer term. Many people, like me, start this journey wondering about the full timeline of effects and what to expect beyond just the *first time*. I've seen queries about 'vyvanse before and after face' and '1 month vyvanse before and after,' and while it's too soon for those kinds of observations, I'm already thinking about my overall well-being. One of the biggest changes I experienced was how it impacted my relationship with *eating*. The 'food noise' that used to constantly occupy my mind, driving binge episodes, felt significantly quieter. This isn't just about appetite suppression; it's about the mental space it frees up. I've read about others experiencing similar relief from this constant mental battle, and it directly relates to queries like 'vyvanse for food noise' and 'does vyvanse decrease appetite'. While I'm only on day one, I can already see how this shift could contribute to changes over time, potentially addressing concerns around 'vyvanse weight loss'. It’s not a magic pill for weight, but by helping manage the core issue of binge eating, healthier patterns can emerge. I'm hopeful that by reducing the urge to engage in constant *eating*, I can finally establish a more balanced approach. The initial 'buzz' and feeling of being highly focused and productive were quite striking. Some might worry about side effects like 'vyvanse face' or 'vyvanse acne' when looking at 'before and after' transformations. For me, maintaining hydration and observing my overall well-being is key. I'm curious to see how energy levels and sleep patterns evolve over the coming weeks, as the first night was definitely a challenge. It's a reminder that everyone's body reacts differently, and what might be a prominent side effect for one person might be mild for another. The journey is truly personal. I'm keeping a close eye on how my body adjusts, noting any changes, big or small, as I progress through this 'vyvanse timeline'. While I'm sharing my first time experience, it's important to remember that discussing specific 'vyvanse for binge eating dosage' or wondering about combining medications like 'abilify and vyvanse together' are conversations best had with a healthcare professional. My focus right now is on understanding how this medication supports my personal recovery from binge eating, observing how its effects develop beyond this initial phase, and using this newfound clarity to build healthier habits. Learning from others who’ve traversed this 'vyvanse timeline' is also incredibly helpful as I navigate my own path. I'm looking forward to documenting further changes and sharing my journey, especially regarding sustained focus and improved well-being that I anticipate will come with continued use.

I took as much notes as possible during my extern have been able to compile them into a PDF file. I chose a family practice because i knew I would see a lot more vs. choosing a specialty. I had practice with kids from Age 3 up to adults Age 94. Worked 3 days a week. My shift was 7:30a.m - 4:30pm.
