There's Michael, the Irish stonemason who tragically fell to his death during construction, often spotted in Room 218. Then there's Theodora, a cancer patient from when the hotel was a hospital run by the infamous Norman Baker, who is said to linger in the lobby and even respond to guests in the morgue area – yes, they have a former morgue in the basement! It’s chillingly fascinating. The guided ghost tours are an absolute must-do! They offer different experiences, from the standard evening ghost tour that delves into the hotel's most active spots and shares bone-chilling stories, to the more in-depth behind-the-scenes tours. Our guide was incredible, sharing historical facts intertwined with genuine paranormal accounts. We even got to visit areas usually off-limits to guests, which really amplified the eerie atmosphere. I heard whispers of shadow figures and cold spots, and while I didn't personally see a full apparition, the feeling in certain rooms was undeniably heavy. It’s not just about jump scares; it’s about experiencing the history and the legends firsthand. But it’s not all about ghosts! The hotel itself is a marvel. Imagine waking up to that breathtaking view of the Ozarks from your balcony – it’s pure serenity.
