Refuel Car is a cafe with multiple outlets across the country, so you’re likely to find one near you but I visited their Bedok branch. And let me just say their food is fantastic. So good, we ended up ordering extra sides just because we couldn’t get enough😛.
The space was cosy yet spacious.I didn’t feel cramped at all while dining in. Service was friendly and helpful, especially when we had some hiccups using our CDC vouchers separately on a shared bill💵. Food came out quickly too, so no long, hungry waits!
Unagi Don – 5/5
Amazing. Spectacular. Truly outstanding. The unagi was not boney at all and I devoured every bite with zero resistance😋. The eggs were soft, fluffy, and seasoned just right, pairing beautifully with the rice and unagi. Every bite was pure magic for the tastebuds.
Soy Garlic Chicken – 4/5
A solid side. The chicken was juicy and bite-sized, perfect for snacking on after our mains👍. They gave a generous portion too (a big win for us big eaters💯). The soy garlic glaze was evenly coated, giving every piece a satisfying, flavourful crunch.
Strawberry Matcha Latte – 4/5
A sweet treat! This drink leaned more on the sweeter side, but still tasted exactly like you’d hope. The strawberry had more of a jam-like consistency, giving the drink a slight pulpy texture. The matcha was well-balanced, not too bitter when mixed with the milk, which made it really enjoyable.
I’d gladly make the trip again even if I’m from the other end of the country📍. Refuel is a great spot for brunch or casual catch-ups with friends. The vibe is cosy and relaxed, and with the ambient music in the background, it’s even a sweet setting for a date🫶.
