Love 🫶

Tyler drew Jesus, some crosses and a heart with love beneath it. I'm so proud of him. If I give my kids anything in this life, I want it to be faith. Being around other kids definitely shows me how different I parent mine. Sweet kids who love to share food, toys, and encouraging words with others. They have manners and behave well for the most part. Every kid has moments, but theirs are few and far between. No tablets, but knows how to work my phone. Its a technological age we live in so I want them to be literate with technology without being addicted to it. Mix media they watch with older stuff and less stimulating movies with some fast YouTube videos and new shows. They love rock music and Spanish music. Kind to animals and pray over homeless people and emergency vehicles. I encourage them to have hobbies and play. I support their special interests with excitement. These are good kids and I love them very much. My main problem is that they are pretty boys who start having girlfriends in kindergarten. I'm trying to raise them to be good boys/men to girls/women for when they *should* start dating in high-school. But kindergarten? Boy, focus on your abcs ☠️ Half the time when we go out, they get special treatment. Shirley Temples bought by an elderly couple. Free ice cream and toys. My oldest has been in the cockpit of a plane twice, per the request of the pilots. Pretty privilege happens to kids too apparently. Never had an example to show me how to be a mom, but I think I'm doing alright. No perfect parent exists, but the love to tell me I'm a good mom. And their pranks? My absolute favorite and I always pretend to be tricked by them. Their laughter is my favorite sound in the world and I wish I could put it on a cd to keep forever. #jesuslovesyou #kidslife #parenting #motherhood #childoftheking

... Read moreRaising children in today’s fast-paced and technology-driven world can be both rewarding and challenging. I’ve found that instilling faith and strong moral values early on creates a foundation that guides their behavior and decisions as they grow. Like the story shared by this mom, I also believe in encouraging my kids to develop kindness—not just through words but through meaningful actions like sharing food and toys or showing compassion to those in need. One practical approach that has worked well in my family is setting clear boundaries around screen time while exposing kids to various types of media. This balance helps maintain their interest and curiosity without leading to addiction. Mixing educational shows, classic movies, and a little bit of dynamic content like YouTube helps them stay engaged but grounded. Supporting children’s special interests enthusiastically makes a huge difference in their confidence and happiness. Whether it’s music, arts, or sports, showing excitement motivates them to grow their talents. Also, encouraging respectful interactions with others—especially regarding early social experiences like peers and friendships—is crucial. Teaching boys to be kind and considerate toward girls prepares them well for future relationships. This parenting experience also highlights the importance of embracing imperfection. No parent is flawless, and learning as you go while celebrating small victories and shared laughter fosters a loving family environment. The joy that children bring, through their innocence and pranks, truly enriches everyday life. For anyone on a similar journey, I recommend focusing on faith, nurturing empathy, and guiding technology use thoughtfully. The combination of these values creates good-hearted kids who can thrive socially and spiritually while navigating the modern world with confidence and kindness.
