After the pumpkin version I HAD to do an apple version. For this one I referenced the apple butter pull apart recipe from the I am baker website. I did make a couple of my own changes. I added apple pie spice and cardamom into the dough as well as brown butter instead of just regular butter. I also used brown butter for my glaze. This one was a little messy but so worth it! #fallbaking #fallaesthetic #bermonths #cozy #cottagecoreaesthetic

... Read moreApple butter pull apart bread is a wonderful way to celebrate the flavors of fall in your kitchen. Incorporating unique spices like apple pie spice and cardamom powder into the dough adds a warm and aromatic profile that perfectly complements the sweet apple butter filling. Using brown butter instead of regular butter infuses a nutty, deep flavor that enhances both the bread and the glaze, elevating the overall taste experience. When preparing this recipe, choosing quality ingredients such as organic apple pie spice and genuine cardamom powder can make a significant difference in flavor. For the apple butter, selecting a trusted brand with natural spices provides authenticity to the filling. Brown butter, made by gently melting and cooking butter until it turns golden brown and releases a fragrant aroma, creates a rich buttery base that complements the sweetness of the apples beautifully. This recipe aligns perfectly with the cozy and rustic aesthetics of fall baking, embodying the comforting essence of the season. The messy, pull-apart style makes it a fun and casual treat to share with family and friends, encouraging interactive enjoyment as each piece is pulled apart and savored. For best results, ensure the dough is well proofed to achieve a tender and fluffy texture. When making the glaze, continue to use browned butter to drizzle over the pulled-apart bread while warm, which adds an irresistible richness and shine. The combination of spices, brown butter, and apple butter in this pull apart bread creates a symphony of tastes that invite comfort and indulgence. Whether you're preparing this for a seasonal gathering or a simple weekend brunch, it pairs wonderfully with a warm cup of tea or coffee to complete the cozy fall experience.
