Been wanting this heart Bundt pan for years. Finally caught it on clearance and I had a gift card so I decided it was meant to be. Decided to break it in with an Earl grey blueberry muffin bread.
For this recipe I referenced the 100% Whole Wheat Blueberry Muffins recipe from @King Arthur Baking. To make it earl grey I steeped earl grey tea in some milk then added vinegar to make a diy earl grey buttermilk. Then for extra earl grey flavor I also added a bag of earl grey tea right into the batter. and then instead of muffins I just dumped all the batter in the bundt pan and hoped for the best lol #cozyvibes #cottagcore #practicalmagic #cottagecoreaesthetic #romanticizeyourlife
Baking with a heart Bundt pan adds a charming touch to any homemade bread, making it perfect for gifts or cozy family breakfasts. Earl Grey tea, with its notes of bergamot, pairs wonderfully with the natural sweetness of blueberries, creating a sophisticated yet comforting flavor profile. When I first tried incorporating Earl Grey into baking, I was pleasantly surprised by how the tea’s citrusy aroma balanced the rich whole wheat flour. To make the DIY Earl Grey buttermilk, steep the Earl Grey tea in warm milk for about 10 minutes until it’s fragrant. Then add a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to curdle the milk slightly—this mimics buttermilk's acidity and reacts with baking soda to help your bread rise beautifully. Adding loose tea leaves directly into the batter, as done in this recipe, intensifies the Earl Grey essence throughout the bread. Using whole wheat flour gives the bread a wholesome texture and adds fiber, which makes it satisfying and nourishing. Instead of making muffins, pouring the batter into a Bundt pan allows for a moist, evenly baked loaf with an appealing shape that looks impressive but is easy enough for beginners. If you love cozy vibes and cottagecore aesthetics, this recipe is an excellent way to bring a bit of handcrafted magic into your kitchen. Pair your slice with a cup of tea to elevate everyday moments, or share it with friends and family for a sweet surprise. Experimenting with different tea blends like lavender or chamomile in this base recipe can also yield delightful results. Baking like this turns simple ingredients into a heartfelt creation that warms both the oven and the soul.
