Couldnt resist this last minute Easter bake. Made myself a little flock of cream puff sheep 🐑 I have a bad habit of blacking out while decorating and forgetting to film which is why the reel doesn’t show that part lol but they’re filled with a lemon curd filling on the bottom and topped with a homemade whipped cream. I made the faces out of black candy melts by carefully piping the shapes then freezing until set. I can’t wait to make this a new Easter tradition. #creampuffs #cozy #cottagecoreaesthetic #romanticizeyourlife #easter
Baking for special occasions like Easter creates memorable moments, and these cream puff sheep are a fantastic way to combine creativity with delicious flavors. When making the lemon curd filling, I find it helps to use fresh lemons and prepare the curd a day ahead to allow the flavors to intensify. Homemade whipped cream is a great topping choice because it adds a light, creamy texture that balances the tartness of the lemon curd. Decorating can be the most fun yet challenging part. I recommend steady hands for piping the candy melt faces—using a fine-tipped piping bag and freezing the piped faces before attaching them makes the process smoother. It’s also helpful to have a clean workspace and practice piping on parchment paper to gain confidence. These cream puffs work well as a centerpiece or dessert at Easter brunch or gatherings, and they bring a cozy, cottagecore aesthetic that perfectly suits springtime celebrations. Making this a new Easter tradition can be rewarding, as the process is meditative and the results impressive, especially when shared with friends or family. Plus, the recipe is versatile—you can experiment with different fillings or decorations to customize your festive treats. If you’re looking to cozy up your Easter celebration with a charming and tasty bake, these cream puff sheep are a charming choice that combines a whimsical look with delightful flavors, making your holiday baking an enjoyable and satisfying experience.
