Back home after visiting my parents. Been itching to bake something pumpkin (and fall themed) so I made my fave pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. And i HAD to make them in my fave fall themed molds. My go to recipe is the pumpkin chocolate chip cookie recipe from @King Arthur Baking . But I make a few changes. I don’t add the orange zest or the glaze and instead lean more into the pumpkin flavor. So I add pumpkin spice instead and I’ve also been enjoying adding pumpkin spice m&ms. I don’t like them as much on their own but I like them when they’re added to other things. #summerween #fallaesthetic #fallvibes #fallbaking #halloweenvibes

Read moreWhen I first started exploring pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, I stuck closely to classic recipes but gradually began personalizing them to boost the pumpkin flavor and add fun seasonal touches. Using pumpkin spice instead of orange zest really deepens the warm, cozy notes that evoke fall's essence. Adding pumpkin spice M&M's is a surprising but delightful twist—they complement the cookie's texture and add bursts of sweetness without overpowering the spice. Additionally, baking with fall-themed cookie molds not only enhances the presentation but also makes the experience more enjoyable and festive. I find that choosing molds shaped like pumpkins or leaves adds a charming touch that’s perfect for sharing with friends and family during Halloween or Thanksgiving gatherings. For those who love experimenting, I recommend trying Nestlé or Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips as add-ins, as they melt perfectly and balance the pumpkin flavor. Using quality ingredients makes a noticeable difference in cookie texture and taste. In my experience, these cookies hold up well for a few days if stored in an airtight container, making them great for preparing ahead for parties or cozy weekends. They are also perfect paired with a hot chai latte or apple cider to enhance the fall vibe. Overall, baking pumpkin chocolate chip cookies with personalized tweaks not only satisfies a sweet tooth but also brings the comforting scents and tastes of autumn into the home. I encourage you to start with a trusted recipe like King Arthur Baking’s and then make it your own with spices and mix-ins that you love.
