Book Review 20/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Daggermouth by @hm.wolfe This book completely consumed me. I’m not exaggerating when I say I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. The writing pulls you in so deeply it feels suffocating in the best way—you’re not just reading, you’re inside it. Their world is brutal, relentless, full of pain… and somehow I still wanted to stay there with them.

The relationships? Raw. Messy. Intense in a way that feels almost too real. I would willingly rot in The Boundary just to experience a fraction of that love.

Daggermouth had me ignoring responsibilities, side-eyeing my plans, and choosing one more chapter every single time. Sleep? Irrelevant.

I don’t hand out “all the stars” lightly—but this deserves every single one. It grabbed me out of nowhere and refused to let go. Instant all-time favorite.

The stakes are sky-high. It’s dark, it’s gritty, it’s spicy—but it also hits hard emotionally. You feel everything.

And the plot twists?? I thought I had it figured out. I was wrong. So, so wrong. Every time I caught my footing, it ripped the ground out from under me again.

THE MEN.

Jameson. Callum. And Greyson Serel?? That man owns a piece of my soul. Protect him at all costs.

Enemies to lovers done RIGHT. Tension, violence, obsession—exactly how it should be.

THE WOMEN.

Lira and Shade deserved the world. Absolute warriors. And every woman fighting in that rebellion? I was screaming for all of them.

This is me, loudly and unapologetically telling you:

READ. THIS. BOOK.

... Read moreHaving finished reading Daggermouth recently, I can truly attest to the magnetic pull this book has on its readers. The dystopian setting is unapologetically brutal, capturing the chaos and pain of a world teetering on the edge, yet it's the vivid emotional intensity that really resonated with me. The author’s ability to make you feel trapped inside the story—almost suffocated by the atmosphere—sets this book apart from typical dark romances. One aspect that stood out to me was how the relationships are portrayed with such raw realism. They are messy, complicated, and deeply human, not sanitized or glossed over. The enemies-to-lovers trope is done masterfully here, blending tension, obsession, and violence in a way that feels both thrilling and authentic. Greyson Serel, in particular, left a lasting impression—his complex character adds depth and a protective intensity that’s rare in the genre. Moreover, the female characters like Lira and Shade offer empowering representations of strength and resilience. Their roles in the rebellion brought a fierce energy to the narrative that kept me cheering them on. The stakes feel genuinely high throughout the book, making every plot twist hit harder. I was genuinely surprised multiple times, as the story cleverly dismantled my assumptions right when I thought I had it figured out. From my personal experience, this book is the perfect escape if you're a fan of gritty dystopian worlds with dark romance elements. It made me lose sleep, ignore my to-do list, and binge-read chapter after chapter because I simply couldn't put it down. If you crave emotional depth, high tension, and a story that refuses to let go, Daggermouth is a book you shouldn't miss. The quote from the book resonated with me deeply: "Careful who you bleed Daggermouth for in this world—some of us will make you envy it." This warning highlights the intensity and danger woven throughout the story and made the stakes feel all the more real. In summary, if you want a story that pulls you in and refuses to release its grip, packed with intense characters, emotional brutality, and thrilling romance, Daggermouth deserves a spot on your bookshelf. Don’t hesitate—dive in and prepare to be consumed.
