Unofficial, Extremely Biased Edinburgh Fall List 🍂
This isn’t a comprehensive guide… or even a mildly put together guide. This is just me, aggressively reminiscing about my cozy-girl autumn dreams in Edinburgh, and dragging you along for the highlights. Here are a few places and moments you definitely shouldn’t skip (but, like, feel free to do your own thing):
⸻
Is it possible to feel like a romantic heroine and a bear ready for hibernation at the same time? Because between the castle views, epic leaf piles, and park benches for people-watching, this is my go-to autumn happy place.
2. Greyfriars Kirkyard Cemetery Edinburgh
Peak spooky energy (but like, the gorgeous kind). Stroll, snap pics, and pretend you’re in a gothic novel. Bonus points if it’s misty.
3. Blessed by a Highland Cow Sighting
Did I plan my coffee stop around seeing and feeding a Highland cow? Yes. 1000 times yes. They are angels and you need to see and love all of them.
When in doubt, detour for whisky. The vibe is rustic stone walls, warm tastings, and pretending you can taste any hint of notes beyond the fire burning down your esophagus.
Who’s a good boy? Edinburgh’s most famous pup, obviously. Pay your respects to the most loyal lad and maybe shed a tear (I’m an empathetic gal, ok???)
6.Edinburgh Castle Grounds Shenanigans
Wander around and dramatically look out over the city like you’re the main character in a Netflix period drama.
Tucked away in the castle grounds is a whole ass museum. I highly recommend going for the art. There’s also benches and who doesn’t love sitting!?
⸻
Listen, there’s no way I can fit all of my Edinburgh Autumn “serotonin spots” into one post, but this is at least a start.
Which one are you running to first? Or did I forget your secret cozy corner? Drop your faves below! 🍁👇
