How I Actually Clean my Plant Leaves 🌿

Cleaning the leaves isn’t something I do all the time, but when I do, I keep it simple. Dusty leaves can block sunlight. Some people use other products to make them shiny, which looks great, but I just stick to the basics. I just want my plant to breathe.

I spray the leaves with water and wipe them with a cloth. If I notice any pests, I use diluted alcohol or dish soap mixed with water, then wipe them clean.

To maintain leaf cleanliness, use simple methods like spraying water and wiping with a microfiber cloth, which avoids harsh chemicals. For pest infestations, a diluted solution of rubbing alcohol or mild dish soap in water can effectively eliminate unwanted visitors. Ensure to check both sides of the leaves, as pests often hide there. Regular maintenance, such as leaf cleaning every few weeks, promotes better light absorption and air circulation, contributing to your plant's thriving condition. Additionally, introducing a gentle wipe down as part of your plant care routine can prevent major issues before they arise, helping maintain vibrant, healthy foliage. Remember, plants like Ficus Audrey thrive in clean environments, so keeping their leaves free of dust is crucial to their beauty and longevity.

Wiping down my plant leaves is a small thing that really helps them perk up. I use a damp microfiber cloth to clean off the dust and spray them with Captain Jack’s Deadbug to keep pests in check. If they’re extra dusty, I’ll rinse them in the shower - but usually a quick wipe is all they need.
