Cars Are Explosive 🧨

... Read moreHey fellow loopers! If you’ve spent any time cruising around the Fortnite island, you’ve probably noticed that cars don’t exactly last forever. One minute you’re peeling out, the next, BOOM! Your ride is a smoking wreck, and maybe you even got an ELIMINATION out of it. So, why exactly do cars explode in Fortnite, and how can we turn this fiery phenomenon into a tactical advantage? First off, it’s all about damage. Just like players, vehicles in Fortnite have a health bar. When that health bar hits zero, the car goes bye-bye in a spectacular explosion. What causes this damage? Pretty much anything! Bullets, rockets, grenades, falling from a great height, hitting other objects too hard, or even getting caught in the storm for too long will chip away at a vehicle's HP. The game is designed to keep things moving, and destructible environments, including cars, are a huge part of that dynamic. Now, here's where it gets interesting: you can totally use this to your benefit. I remember this one time, I was pinned down by a squad, and one of them was foolishly hiding behind a car. WHEN THAT moment came, I didn't even aim for the player; I dumped a whole clip into the car. A massive explosion, and boom – an instant ELIMINATION! Not only did I get the kill, but I also saw that sweet +1.546xP pop up on my screen. It’s a fantastic way to deal splash damage, flush out enemies from cover, or even create a distraction. Here are some of my go-to strategies for making cars explode on demand: Target Priority: If an enemy is using a car for cover, focus your fire on the vehicle itself. Explosive weapons like rocket launchers or grenade launchers are obviously fantastic for this, but even sustained assault rifle fire can do the trick surprisingly fast. Tire Shots: While shooting the tires won't directly cause an explosion, it's a smart tactical move. Destroying tires makes the car immobile and much harder for an enemy to escape in, turning it into a stationary target for its eventual fiery demise. Environmental Traps: Sometimes, you can damage a car just enough that it's on the brink of exploding, then leave it as a trap. If an unsuspecting enemy approaches or tries to use it for cover, a single shot can turn it into a deadly surprise. The "OH" factor when you get a kill like that is priceless! Proximity Damage: Remember that the explosion itself deals damage in an area. If enemies are clustered around a vehicle, or even near a wall that an exploding car is next to, they can take significant damage or even be eliminated. This is perfect for cleaning up weakened opponents or getting multi-kills. XP Grind: Every ELIMINATION, even if it's from an indirect car explosion, contributes to your XP. So, if you’re looking to level up fast, actively seeking out opportunities to blow up vehicles with enemies nearby can be a surprisingly effective method to rack up that experience points, just like that impressive 1,546XP you might see. So, next time you're in a match, don't just see cars as transportation. See them as mobile explosives waiting for the right trigger. Learn to anticipate when and why they'll blow, and you'll add a powerful, explosive new tactic to your Fortnite arsenal. Go get those fiery ELIMINATIONS!
