how i transform my tired looking skin with makeup🥹

apologies on the poor quality of my mic :’)

Hi friends on lemon8 💛

You ever felt like you’re always very tired looking, like very 没有气色? 💀

Keep on reading to see how i achieve an EASY, natural, everyday makeup look that INSTANTLY brightens your entire face as if you have the healthiest skin tone ever 🎀

🧏🏻‍♀️ Always prep your skin with skincare.

I often hear people say, “I’m too lazy; I just want something quick.” But it only takes less than 5 minutes! Proper prep is crucial to avoid patchiness in your foundation, especially if you have dry skin.

💗 Primer

- If you have dry skin like me, try to go for a primer that helps boost the radiance in your skin rather than something too mattifying. As what we dry skin lack is the radiance. If you have an oily skin, you probably are alr sick of the “shine” so yup you can opt for a primer that helps with oil controlling as well as keeping the shine under control.

🎨 Colour correct

- I can’t emphasise how important it is to colour correct. Stop piling concealer under ur eyes, hoping that the more product u put the undereye will magically disappear… COLOUR. CORRECT. (read my previous post to understand more)

🤎 Foundation

- When choosing the right foundation, ask yourself these three questions: What finish am I looking for? How much coverage do I want? What is my skin undertone or tone? By answering these, you’ll avoid choosing a highly raved foundation just because someone else is promoting it non-stop and instead, find one that’s perfect for you!

💛 Conceal, highlight, contour

- Figure out ur face shape whether it’s oval, round, square etc etc before you highlight & contour just anywhere…. I’ll make a post about it soon!! (keep a lookout because i promise you it’s gonna be very helpful)

💟 Setting your face

- If you want ur makeup to last, don’t forget to set it on areas that tends to crease such as undereyes, corner of the nose, t-zone etc.

💄 Colour

- If you want something quick & easy, grab 1 lipstick shade you love, and use it as an eyeshadow, blusher & lipstick. Not only is it easy, it ensures a very uniform look.

👀 Mascara

- If you can, curl your lashes and apply a mascara. This really opens up your eyes & enhances the entire look.

... Read moreWhen it comes to achieving that radiant, well-rested glow, I always make sure to incorporate a strobe cream into my routine, especially one that enhances natural light reflection, like the Insight Strobe Cream. It’s a lifesaver for dry skin as it adds a subtle dewiness without being greasy. I remember one morning when I was running late but needed to look fresh for a meeting; I quickly dabbed the strobe cream on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose, and instantly my skin appeared brighter and healthier. Pairing it with a hydrating primer and a lightweight foundation creates a perfect base that keeps my makeup looking fresh all day. Also, don’t underestimate the power of setting your makeup properly—especially on oily zones like the T-zone and eyelids—using a matte setting powder can prevent creasing and shine. I find that lightly dusting these areas helps maintain that bright and smooth finish, making the skin look flawless without any greasy patches. Lastly, using a single lipstick shade as eyeshadow and blush not only simplifies the process but also adds a harmonious warmth to the face, complementing the glow from the strobe cream. Give these tips a try, and you’ll notice a natural brightness that makes your skin look effortlessly vibrant!
