How I Scent Layer ✨
Today's scent combo was made out of trying to make the body mist If you Musk work for me. I ordered it during the SAS sale for like $4 bc I heard it smelled good BUT for me and my nose.. it's very screechy like when you smell something it makes your nose flare and burn?! That's what it does to me. Now the task of making it work and this is how I go about doing my scent layers:
💡 First, I pick out a note that I can find in other products. If you Musk has an airy note to it and the first thing that came to mind to balance it out was to layer it with a powdery, cloud like scent thus Ariana Grande Cloud was the perfect choice. I first sprayed them on a paper towel as I don't have any test strips and was like this is it but I didn't want to stop there. I felt like they needed something to help bring out both fragrances for a better melody.
🍬 I then decided my lotion or body butter would need to have a sweet, musky scent as both fragrances have a mild musk undertone and the Whipped Shea & Sugar with it's burnt sugar creme brulee was the final addition!
💕 That's how I scent layer! I keep it simple and sample the items on a paper towel or test trip before applying to make sure I'm loving the scent profile and I only do 3 at the most different scents to blend together ✨
